Taking the Plunge!

These are some pictures from a lovely shop in Whitstable called Taking the Plunge run by Nicola and Shelly (Lovely ladies).
They stock a great collection of unusual and quirky items and have a brilliant retro look.
Fortunately for me they also stock my jewellery, but I never leave without wanting to make a purchase.
Unfortunately not for sale is the most adorable dog called Ron who makes the best salesman and preforms beautifully for the camera.
So if you are in the Whitstable area pop in to Taking the Plunge and tell me what you think?

New Life

There is nothing I like more than recycling old treasures and giving them a new lease of life. I hate being wasteful and I'm always looking for a way to bring something old back into circulation, which leads me to Ninainvorm. Nina van de Goor from the Netherlands transforms these lovely old ceramics into something new and fresh. I love the birds and abstract designs printed over more traditional floral designs. What do you think? You can find Nina's ceramics on Etsy in her shop Ninainvorm.

Bearsted Farmers Market

What a lovely weekend, the weather was beautiful and completely got me in the mood for spring. These are just a few pics from our stall at the Bearsted Farmers Market, which is held on the 4th Sunday of the month near Maidstone in Kent. Bearsted is just the ideal English country village, with beautiful old houses set around a traditional village green. The perfect setting for a Farmers Market.
Love to know what you think?

Folksy Finds

Yellow Teacup Necklace by Aleximo Croissant

Its a very grey day today so I thought I would try to brighten it up with a bit of yellow. I have never been that keen on yellow but something has changed and I seem to be drawn to it lately. Maybe its the pull of spring and the promise of Daffodils and sunshine. Who knows! Hope you like these lovely Folksy Finds by some talented people on this grey and dull day. Enjoy!

What a beautiful day! I couldn't resist going out for a cycle and capturing some of beauty of this lovely winter scenery before it all turns to slush.

Things To Brighten Up Your Day

Its a lovely bright day, but the snow is on its way. So I thought I would capture some of today's brightness before it fades away.
My lovely roses are on there way out but my fabric flowers are here to stay.

Christmas

My little girls Christmas tree that they decorate all by themselves!

Posted by Picasa
I know this seems a bit late to be putting Christmas posts on but I'm feeling particularly slow this January and didn't want to not put these pics on as they are some of my favorite Christmasy things, especially my little girls Christmas tree. Their decorating has definately got better since they have grown taller. Well rather late than never, hope you like them!

I made these before Christmas when I was quite taken with the whole equestrian look and could see them sitting nicely on a tweet blazer. Luckily the lovely ladies from Taking the Plunge in Whitstable quite liked them too and took the lot.

Some New Boyds & Bobs

These are a few new jewellery pieces that I have just finished, soon due to appear in my Folksy Shop. They fit quite well with the latest block colour fashion, just in time to brighten up a dull autumn day.
Please tell me what you thing of them.Posted by Picasa
